Step-by-step guide
- Answer the questionnaire
Open the Questionnaire tab and answer about ten minutes of questions: who you are, how many people you employ in Ontario, whether you serve the public, and a few yes/no facts. Fixed tests written from the regulations use those answers to decide which rules apply. You can save and come back; every save keeps the earlier version.
- Build your documents
Saving the questionnaire builds every document that applies to you. Open the Documents tab to preview each one and download it as an editable Word file or a PDF. Each document cites the section it satisfies and states the date the rules were current to.
- Review and adopt
A document only protects you once your organization has reviewed it and adopted it. On the Documents tab, enter the name of the person with authority to bind the organization and adopt each document; the date is recorded. If you change your answers later, adoption has to be recorded again for the rebuilt documents.
- Check a job posting (optional)
Paste a posting on the Job postings tab. The checker lists what is missing or not allowed (pay range, vacancy statement, AI use, accommodation, Canadian experience) and can rewrite it. A rewrite uses one rewrite credit unless Keep-Current is on. Nothing is posted anywhere for you.
- Stay current
Rules change. While Keep-Current is on we re-issue your documents when they do, include unlimited posting checks and rewrites, and email reminders before the January 1 headcount recount and the March 1 policy deadline. You can switch between monthly and yearly or cancel at any time under Billing.
- Invite your team (optional)
On the People tab, invite colleagues by email and choose what each can view, add, edit or delete in each area. Each person signs in with their own password. Remove or change access whenever you like.
- File your report
We never file anything with the Government of Ontario for you and never ask for your portal credentials. When your documents are adopted, a director, senior officer or other person with authority to bind the organization certifies and files the report on the Accessibility Compliance Reporting Portal, which is free.
Documentation
The workspace at a glance
Overview shows where you stand and what to do next. Questionnaire holds your answers. Documents holds everything built from them. What applies lists your Ontario obligations with deadlines and sources. Job postings checks and rewrites postings and tracks interviews. Billing manages Keep-Current and shows every charge. People, Notes and Account are for signed-in users.
Documents, versions and adoption
Every save of the questionnaire keeps the earlier version. Documents are rebuilt from your latest answers; if your answers change after a build, the Documents tab says they are out of date and you rebuild.
Adoption records who adopted a document and when. Saving new answers resets adoption because the wording may have changed.
When the rules change, documents built on the old rule set are marked “update available”. With Keep-Current on we re-issue them for you.
Job postings and rewrite credits
The checker is deterministic: it applies fixed tests and shows which rule each finding comes from. A rewrite changes only the parts that fail; wording polish is optional and its output is dropped if it does not match the facts you entered.
Your purchase includes a limited number of rewrite credits. A credit is returned if a rewrite fails. Keep-Current includes unlimited checks and rewrites.
Keep-Current
Keep-Current is an optional subscription, monthly or yearly. The included months of the Deadline Pack count first: if you subscribe while they run, your first charge happens only when they end.
Switch between monthly and yearly, update your card or cancel under Billing. A cancelled subscription keeps working until the end of the paid period, and you can resume it from the Overview before then.
People, permissions and sign-in
Each person signs in with their own email and password. Access is set per area (view, add, edit, delete) through groups. Two-step sign-in can be required for everyone, a group or a single person from the Account tab.
Anyone holding an older private link can still open the workspace until the link is retired, so keep it private and use sign-in for your team.

Frequently asked questions
Who has to file the AODA compliance report in 2026?
Ontario businesses and non-profits with 20 or more employees in Ontario that provide goods, services or facilities to the public or to other businesses. The report is due December 31, 2026 and then every three years. Organizations with fewer than 20 employees do not file (O. Reg. 191/11 s. 86.1), but the accessibility standards still apply to them.
What does the AODA report ask?
At 20 to 49 employees, one question: whether you comply with the Customer Service Standards, yes or no. At 50 or more, a yes/no question on each applicable part of the accessibility standards. A director, senior officer or other person with authority to bind the organization certifies the answers (AODA s. 15). Filing is free on the Accessibility Compliance Reporting Portal.
Do you file the report for me?
No. We do not file anything with the Government of Ontario on your behalf and we never ask for your portal credentials. We prepare the policies, notices, training outline and worksheet that stand behind each answer; your certifier files.
I have fewer than 20 employees. Do I need any of this?
You do not file the compliance report and the 25-employee Employment Standards Act rules do not apply to you. The accessibility standards themselves do apply at one or more employees if you serve the public or other businesses: accessibility and customer service policies, training on the standards and the Human Rights Code, accessible formats on request and a feedback process. The free check tells you which items apply at your size.
What does EmployerReady produce?
Documents, checklists and job posting checks built from Ontario’s published rules and your answers to one questionnaire. Depending on your size: accessibility policies and notices, the compliance report worksheet, the disconnecting from work and electronic monitoring policies, the new hire information sheet, the 45-day interview notice, a job posting compliance kit and a compliance calendar. Each document arrives as an editable Word file and a PDF, cites the section it satisfies and states the date the rules were current to.
Is this legal advice?
No. EmployerReady is not a law firm and its documents and guides are plain-language summaries of published rules, not legal advice. The wording has been checked against the law texts but has not been reviewed by a lawyer. You remain responsible for your organization’s compliance and for reviewing the documents before you adopt them.
How do you decide which rules apply to me?
With fixed tests written from the regulations: your number of employees in Ontario, whether you serve the public or other businesses, and a few yes/no facts. No language model decides whether a rule applies to you. A model is used only, and optionally, to polish the wording of a job posting rewrite, and its output is discarded if it does not match the facts you entered.
What happens when the rules change?
A daily job checks the nine official sources listed on the methodology page for changes. A change is reviewed by a person, the rule set is updated and versioned, and documents built on the old version are marked outdated in your workspace. While Keep-Current is active we re-issue your documents on the new version. Every document states the date the rules it is based on were current to.
How current are the rules right now?
The rules in the documents and guides are current to October 23, 2026. The methodology page explains how that date is set and lists the nine official sources we watch.
How do you count employees?
Count people in Ontario, not full-time equivalents: full-time, part-time, casual, seasonal and contract employees, including staff on leave or probation, across all your Ontario locations. Volunteers and independent contractors are not employees, so they are not counted, and nor is staff outside Ontario. For the ESA policies the count is taken on January 1; for job postings, on the day of posting; for the new hire information sheet, on the employee’s first day.
Where is my data stored?
On our servers, operated by LLnet Research & Development Canada on infrastructure in Canada. The free checks are not saved at all. If you buy, your questionnaire answers and documents are stored and reached through a private link sent to your email address; we store the link encrypted. Stripe processes payments; we never see your card number. See the privacy page for the full list.
Is anything sent outside Canada?
Payments are processed by Stripe. If wording polish is enabled for a job posting rewrite, the posting text, your organization’s name, your accommodation contact email and your pay, vacancy and AI statements are sent to Anthropic in the United States to produce the draft; nothing else from your profile is sent. That is the complete list.
How do I get back into my workspace?
Through the private link emailed to you when you bought. If you lose it, enter your purchase email on the find my workspace page and we will send it again. Keep the link private: anyone who has it can open your workspace.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within the period set out in our terms, if you are not satisfied. Email support@employerready.com from the address you bought with. A refunded purchase ends access to the workspace.
What does it cost and what is included?
The current price and what the Deadline Pack and Keep-Current include are listed on the pricing section of the home page. The Deadline Pack is a one-time purchase in Canadian dollars plus applicable tax; Keep-Current is an optional subscription you can cancel at any time.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Email support@employerready.com from the address you bought with and we will delete your workspace, answers, documents and interview records. Backups are kept for a limited time, so deleted data leaves them once that time has passed. Payment records are kept as tax law requires.
Are you affiliated with the Government of Ontario?
No. EmployerReady is a private service operated by LLnet Research & Development Canada in Cochrane, Ontario. Nothing on this site is an official form or notice, and the government’s own portal and guidance pages remain the authoritative source.
