Our commitment
We build the accessibility documents Ontario organizations rely on, so our own site should meet the bar we write about. We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the public site, the free checks and the signed-in workspace. Ontario’s website rule (WCAG 2.0 Level AA, O. Reg. 191/11 s. 14) applies to organizations with 50 or more employees; we are a small company, so it does not apply to us, and we follow the newer version anyway.
What we do
- Each page starts with a “Skip to content” link, and the controls are standard links, buttons and form fields that work with a keyboard.
- The charts in our guides carry a full text description, and the tables have captions and column headings.
- Pages are written in plain language, and the layout is built to work at phone width.
- We run an automated check (axe-core, WCAG 2.1 A and AA rules, which include colour contrast) on the public pages and a workspace, at desktop and phone widths. The last run on the live site, on October 30, 2026, found no violations.
Automated checks find only some problems. The site has not yet been reviewed by people who use assistive technology or by an outside accessibility firm, so there may be issues we have not found.
Your documents
Every document comes as an editable Word file and as a PDF with the same content. The Word file works with the reading tools built into Word and with common screen readers, and you can change its fonts and layout. We have not yet tested the PDFs with a screen reader. If you need a document, a guide or anything else on this site in another format, email us and we will provide it as soon as we can, at no extra cost.
Known limits
- Payment happens on Stripe’s checkout page, which Stripe runs. If it gives you trouble, email us and we will help.
- Links to the Government of Ontario (e-Laws, the compliance reporting portal) open sites we do not control.
Tell us about a barrier
Email support@employerready.com with “Accessibility” in the subject. Say which page or document, what you were trying to do and what got in the way. A person reads every message, replies, and tells you what we will do about it.
